THE STORY OF DOMAINE SAINT VINCENT
Located east of the village of Vinsobres and sheltered from the Mistral wind, this former possession of the Saint Césaire convent in Nyons has a rich history. Legend has it that the site was once named Saint Vincent for the quality of its wines.
A chapel, no longer standing today, was erected in memory of “Saint Vincent,” the patron saint of winemakers.
It was in this exceptional setting that Domaine Saint Vincent was established in the 1920s.
A rich and diverse range
Drawing on the unique character of the Vinsobres terroir and meticulously selecting the finest plots, Domaine Saint Vincent has crafted a unique range of wines in Cru Vinsobres, Côtes du Rhône Villages, and Côtes du Rhône.
The traditional Grenache and Syrah grape varieties are grown on the estate and used to craft our red wines. Viognier, Marsanne, and Grenache Blanc are cultivated with passion to produce our white wines. The diversity of the estate’s terroirs and soil exposures allows us to create a range of wines with distinct characteristics, ranging from light and fruity to more structured and powerful. We are delighted to offer a selection to suit every palate.

A.O.P. Nyons (Protected Designation of Origin)
Spread across 4 olive groves of over 1,300 trees under A.O.P. Nyons (Protected Designation of Origin)—including a remarkable grove situated behind the Estate—the olive trees are primarily cultivated on terraces with a full southern exposure, offering a panoramic view of Mont Ventoux.
The olives from our groves are exclusively of the Tanche variety, corresponding to the A.O.P. Nyons (Protected Designation of Origin). They are harvested fully ripe and finely wrinkled. The Estate offers a range of finely crafted and flavorful olive products, including olive oil, tapenade, and table olives.
High-Altitude Terroir
Vinsobres, the northernmost Cru of the Southern Côtes du Rhône!
The Vinsobres vineyard stretches across 7 kilometers of hillsides in the Drôme Provençale. It benefits from the influence of the Prealps and the local wind. The climate is distinctly Mediterranean. Summers are hot and dry, driven by the rise of subtropical anticyclones, yet punctuated by occasionally violent thunderstorms. Nevertheless, the commune of Vinsobres enjoys exceptional levels of sunshine.

The typicity of Vinsobres wines is characterized by the freshness and finesse of their tannins. The red wines crafted within the appellation are exceptional wines for cellaring, perfectly suited for aging.
